Day 14 - Crossing the 100th Meridian

As we followed ND state road #46 straight (and it is straight) east we crossed the 100th Meridian on our journey to Fargo.  The 100th Meridian generally marks the east/west boundary of land to the east receiving sufficient rainfall, versus land to the west needing irrigation to sustain life.  I noticed the subtle difference pedaling east as the number of trees & green increased.

Thoughts for the day:
1. These small towns market themselves with their town signs; it's fun to compare:

2. Watching a couple pheasants run through the ND fields took me back to my early teen years when my dad took me pheasant hunting in the corn fields of rural Riverton, UT (which is rural no more).  ND must have fabulous pheasant hunting with perfect conditions for hundreds of miles.
3. Kathryn could be a SAG driver for the Tour de France teams - she is great!
Most trees since western Montana
Beautiful home in Fargo but lawnmower's nightmare
