Day 21: it's turning into a VACATION! ;)

:)  This is turning into a VACATION!  ;)
We take off every Sunday to rest up, attend church and be together all day instead of just during water and powerbar refueling moments. This weekend we came to Nauvoo and Carthage IL, and spent more time there this morning too. It felt GREAT to get a little bit out of the routine of pushing through 100+ miles a day. We are adjusting our trip for several reasons and it is looking suspiciously similar to a vacation!  :)  YEA!!  :)  More on that in days to come...
We have several ancestors that lived in Nauvoo so the history is very personal and sacred. It was a beautiful Sunday and Monday.

We rode over the Mississippi ...

and were greeted by a beautiful sight of water lilies on the river ...

and the incredible sound of cicadas...  yep, that's the sound.  :P
