Day 18: We played where EAGLES play

We followed this little guy (a symbol of National Wildlife Refuge) all day ... 

... all over this place...

Here are some highlights as we rolled down the River in the shadow of the Bluffs 

on the GREAT RIVER ROAD: 

 Coming around a bend I could see a couple enjoying their river view... 

... until I looked more closely...   :P

Haha ... gotta love river folks!  :)

The system of dams and locks and lakes and river were amazing...

A HIGHLIGHT of the day was the National Eagle Center in Wabasha, MN!!

(3 weeks ago we were watching eagles soaring over the Skagit River in WA.)

I bought THE BEST 'sweet tango' apples from this family in LaCrescent, MN:

(This was our last day in Minnesota...I'm going to miss this place!)   :)
