Day 26 - Last full day in Hoosier State

We made it back to the Adventure Cycling route & pedaled to within 3 miles of the Ohio border.  We are in the Monroeville Community Center - which has an indoor facility at their park pavillion they allow cross country bikers to use.  Warren, a member of the community park board, was waiting at the pavilion, as darkness approached, to open up the room for the night.  He loves Monroeville, told us about the town's history, and steered us to the 'Whippy Dip' to get ice cream for the night.  Great people in America.

 Thoughts for the day:

  1. I was glad to see the Wabash River again - the Indiana State River.  We also followed the Salomaonie River and crossed the dam at the Salamonie Reservoir.  Peaceful, slow moving, big rivers.
  2. We were able to tour Indianapolis over the weekend, and I had to include a photo of the 2 biggest sporting venues in town - even though it was pouring at the speedway & I couldn't get a very good picture.
